There are several things to consider when looking for a new tent, firstly the design. Tents come in variety of shapes and designs so you can guarantee the perfect one for your activity is available in our extensive collection. Geodesic designs offer the most stable solution as the tent’s poles cross one another, so ideal for winter camping or for mountain use. Tunnel designs are lighter in weight and usually offer more space so are ideal for backpacking where weight saving is a priority. Domes are very spacious but lack the same stability of a geodesic design, but are great for valley of festival use. Remember the bigger the tent the heavier it is.

There is 1 of 3 ways in which your tent can be erected. Inner-pitched-first offer better stability as both the inner and the outer then give better stability, where as outer-pitched-first give you the chance to go under cover quickly if it is raining. You may also look for a quick-erect or quick-pitch design, these usually role up in to there own bag and take seconds to erect and only minutes to strike or take down.

Remember that your tent will come vacuum-packed so it is a good idea to practise putting your tent up and back into its bag before you go on your trip!
