The Beta 450 is a favourite in the Vango range and is back again this year with a few small improvements. The Vango Beta 450 is a 4 person tunnel design tent that offers a huge porch and seperate sleeping area. The tunnel design and the option of 'as-one' pitching make the Beta 450 incredibly easy to pitch and the pre-attached 'O-Ring' guylines (new for 2009) ensure simple yet correct placement of the guys. Heavy duty polesleeves and Powerflex fibreglass poles make for a sturdy frame. These poles are also colour coded to match the correct pole sleeve. The inside of the Beta 450 is very spacious and the large porch is ideal for storing all of your kit and thanks to the slightly higher centre pole is spacious enough to use as a living space should the weather take a turn for the worse. A side mesh door is included meaning the door can be left open for ventilation but will still keep any bugs out. Front mesh vents provide continual airflow and ventilation. The Beta 450 has large crystal clear windows in the living area to provide the maximum amount of light .In the sleeping area the breathable inner fabric creates a comfortable atmosphere and handy inner pockets are provided to store all of your bits and pieces. Outside the Beta 450 offers great protection from the elements with a durable Protex 2000 flysheet, taped seams and rain gutter zip-covers to divert water away from the zips. A sturdy waterproof groundsheet covers the sleeping and living areas of the Beta 450 to provide protection from the ground. Fire retardent materials are used all round to help protect against an mishaps. Reflective weebing and zip-pullers have been added this year to make the Beta 450 easier to find in bad weather or in the dark - great for late night returns to camp.
