Terms and Conditions

Welcome to the Great Outdoors Direct website terms and condition for use.

These terms and conditions will apply to all transactions placed online, by email, telephone, fax or by post with Great Outdoors Direct. Please read through the terms and conditions before placing an order. If you do access the Website, and/or place an order, you thereby agree to be bound by these terms and conditions set out below.

Interpretation: “We”, “us”, “our”, means Great Outdoors Direct. “You”, “you”, means the person ordering products under these terms and conditions. “Working days” means all days other than Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays. “Product”, “Goods” means the product(s) you have ordered from us.

Orders: All orders can be placed online through the Website using our secure server. Please do not email your card details as no responsibility can be accepted for security of your details if given this way. All orders are subject to availability. We make every effort to ensure the colours depicted closely match those of the actual product but technical limitations mean some colours may vary. The colours available are listed, where applicable and override the colour shown in the image, if the two differ.

Prices: All prices are shown in pounds sterling (£) and include VAT at the current rate unless clearly stated otherwise. All prices are subject to change without prior notice.

Pricing and Print Errors: The prices and specifications used on this website are checked to the best of our ability. Every effort has been made to confirm their accuracy and no responsibility will be accepted for errors and omissions. We reserve the right to alter our prices and specifications without notice.

Our Site contains a large number of Products and it is always possible that, despite our best efforts, some of the Products listed on our Site may be incorrectly priced. We will normally verify prices as part of our despatch procedures so that if a product’s correct price is higher than the price stated on our site, we will normally, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before despatching the product, or reject your order and notify you of such rejection.

We are under no obligation to provide the Product to you at the incorrect (lower) price, even after we have sent you an email of your order, if the pricing error is obvious and unmistakeable and could have reasonably been recognised by you as an error in pricing.

Method of Payment: You can pay either by VISA, MasterCard, Maestro, VISA Delta, Electron or Solo. We are unable to accept payment by cheque, cash or postal orders via this website. You must provide the cardholder’s name as it appears on the card and the address as it appears on the statement. Orders will not be processed without this accurate information. Great Outdoors Direct cannot take responsibility for inaccurate and/or incomplete details given on this website.

Delivery: Your goods will be delivered using Parcel Force, Royal Mail or a specialist carrier. In the event of your goods being visibly damaged at delivery time you should not sign for them and notify us straight away at support@greatoutdoorsdirect.co.uk Goods not arriving within 30 days of placing the order should be notified to us by email.

UK Mainland only:

Orders should be delivered within 3 - 5 working days, however, due to unforseen circumstances, this cannot be guaranteed.

Next Day delivery:
This is available to Mainland England, Wales and some parts of Scotland ONLY. We cannot delivery to the Scottish Highlands next day - for excluded areas please see the postcode table below.

Next day delivery is available for orders placed BEFORE 2.30pm.
Orders placed after this time will be dispatched the working day after that.

Next day deliveries will take place during WORKING DAYS only.
If an order is placed in Friday using next day delivery, delivery will occur on the following Monday.

Please note next day delivery is dependent on whether the item is in stock. We will endevour to contact you should the item be out of stock.

Scottish Highlands:
The below postcodes are subject to a delivery charge of £10.00. If you live in any of the below postcode areas you should select the 'Scottish Highland' delivery option at checkout. Failure to select the correct delivery option will result in a delay in the processing of your order.
The Next Day delivery option DOES NOT apply to the Scottish Highlands.

Please note the above charges EXCLUDE the following areas:
Scottish Offshore Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Isles of Scilly, Channel Islands or Northern Ireland. Please contact us if you would like to obtain more information regarding delivery to these areas.

Out of Stock: We will endeavour to fulfil every order placed through this website. If any item is unavailable you will be contacted, via your e-mail address. Goods marked 'Out of Stock' on your delivery note will be sent automatically and you do not need to contact us again.

Returns Policy: If you wish to return your goods for an exchange or a replacement you should contact us at returns@greatoutdoorsdirect.co.uk within 28 days of delivery. Provided the goods are new, in an unused condition and you return the original receipt we will dispatch the alterative goods immediately. You will be responsible for the costs of returning the original. If you want to return the goods, due to them being faulty, please email the full details with a contact telephone number and we will respond the next working day. If, after examination, we agree the goods are faulty you will receive a full refund including the cost of return.

Cancellation of Orders: We aim to meet the Distance Selling Regulations and subject to meeting the requirements of our returns policy, outlined above, each customer has the right to cancel their order within 7 days of receiving.

Refunds: We will refund any goods that are returned in an unused, as new condition together with proof of purchase. Provided the goods are unused and as new you are entitled to return to us for up to 28 days from receipt. We recommend you use registered post or guaranteed delivery as Great Outdoors Direct cannot be responsible for goods lost in transit whist being returned to us. Goods returned under these circumstances will be at your own cost. We will refund, by the original method of payment, as quickly as possible.

Complaints: Our aim is to deal with all complaints as effectively as possible. Complaints should be emailed to customerservices@greatoutdoorsdirect.co.uk

Alternatively, you can telephone us between 10am – 5pm Monday to Friday, except Public Holidays, on 01244 880505. We will aim to deal with your complaint within 5 working days of receipt. We will endeavour to keep you informed throughout the process of resolving your complaint.

Security and Privacy: You can browse our site without disclosing any personal details. Cookies are placed/collected to monitor visits but not used to store personal data. We only collect and store information about you to fulfil any order requirements and to provide the best possible service. We will store any personal data you volunteer when using our services (placing an order etc). Information held on our computers is never disclosed to a third party and will only be used by us for the purpose intended. You will only be sent marketing material if you subscribe to our e-mailing list

We’re passionate about the service we offer and that includes our approach to security. Maintaining your privacy is a priority which is why we use Sage Pay (formerly Protx), a third party payment specialist. They’re the largest independent payment processor in the UK and are compliant to the highest level in payment card industry data security standards (PCI DSS). So you can be assured that all the information you enter is safe and secure.

We won’t capture or store your card details and once you have entered your card number into a payment page securely hosted by Sage Pay, all sensitive data is encrypted and sent to the banks for processing.

Once your transaction has been submitted, you will be automatically redirected back to our site where you will receive a confirmation regarding your order.

Any personal information you disclose to us, for whatever purpose, is held in confidence. Such information will not be disclosed to a third party without your express permission, unless legally required.
